about /

After graduating from Ravensbourne, Clare started-out as a trainee editor for Channel 4’s ‘The Big Breakfast’ in 1995. She then went on to become senior online editor at a top Soho edit facility ‘Component’.

Since 2002 Clare has had a successful freelance career as one of the UK’s top offline editors of factual entertainment programmes. She is often called upon as a trouble shooter to work with senior producers to make a difficult programme work.

I love working with talented people who share my passion for editorially sharp content and dynamic storytelling.

Clare Childs

Known for her editorial eye and technical skill, her programme credits include Faking It (RDF for Channel Four), Secret Millionaire (RDF for Channel Four) and Mary Queen of Shops (Optomen for BBC2).

Clare lives in Brighton with her partner and their two sons.
