about /

After graduating from Ravensbourne, I started-out as a trainee editor for Channel 4’s ‘The Big Breakfast’ in 1995. I then went on to become senior online editor at a top Soho edit facility ‘Component’.

Since 2002 I’ve had a successful freelance career as one of the UK’s top offline editors of factual entertainment and documentary programmes.  Often called upon as a trouble shooter to work with senior producers to make a difficult programme work.

I love working with talented people who share my passion for editorially sharp content and dynamic storytelling.

Clare Childs

Known for my editorial eye and technical skill, my programme credits include Faking It (RDF for Channel Four), Secret Millionaire (RDF for Channel Four) and Mary Queen of Shops (Optomen for BBC2).

I live in Brighton with my partner Marc and our two sons.
